Report on Travel Lust Campaign Luxurious 100,000 Yen Sweets!

The "Travel Lust Campaign" is now in full swing. The winner of the luxurious 100,000-yen sweets course presented by Sapporo Grand Hotel has been selected. This is a special course of the patissier’s best work, and consisting of only sweets made with the most delicious fruits. Here is a report on the event.

01 Fulfill it! Travel Lust! Present Campaign

If you've gone to the trouble of traveling, we want you to fill your heart to the brim! We want you to make your memories as rich as possible! That's why we started the "Fulfill it! Travel Lust! Present Campaign”. The campaign, which is limited to one year, is now only a few days away, and 27 pairs of 53 guests who stay at Grand Vista Group hotels will be selected by drawing to receive a special experience. This time, we had a chance to visit the guests who won the second prize, "a one-of-a-kind luxurious 100,000-yen sweets specially made by a patissier," to see how they enjoyed the sweets.

02 I valued the taste of the ingredients A full course of luxurious 100,000-yen sweets

"We incorporated ingredients from various regions into the course so that the sweets would give you a taste of travel," said patissier Ryo Takada, who handled everything from the structure of the course to the creation and production of the menu. The result was a wonderful full course of sweets with a travel theme.
The first item to start the journey was a refreshing lychee tea.
This was followed by a creamy caprese made with jinnai mango, a rare tropical fruit from Hokkaido that is attracting attention for its high sugar content, and mozzarella cheese from Hokkaido.
The third item, a panna cotta of shine muscat from Okayama Prefecture, is served with a jus of Dom Perignon, a high-class champagne, for a fragrant and slightly mature taste.
The fourth item, which will make you feel like you are traveling the world, is a sorbet chocolat and mousse chocolat made with cacao from Madagascar. These chocolates are flavored with tonka beans from Brazil, giving them a rich flavor. The course ends with a juicy melon parfait made with a whole muskmelon from Shizuoka Prefecture.

03 The patissier and staff smiled at the happy faces of the guests

"We have put our heart and soul into preparing this dish, emphasizing the importance of making the most of the fruit ingredients that are truly delicious at this time of year. We hope that you will enjoy the special sweets that we will create just for the guests who have been selected," said patissier Takada.
The winners of the second giveaway were Mr. and Mrs. Kimura, who live in Hokkaido. Mrs. Kimura often stays at the Sapporo Grand Hotel when she is in Sapporo on business, and she entered the campaign.
This time, they were able to stay with their family, including their three-year-old son. "This is a great opportunity for us, as we don't get to travel very often. My son loves the sweets at the Sapporo Grand Hotel, so we always bring back cakes from our business trips. Recently, Maritozzo is his favorite," said Mrs. Kimura. As for the sweets this time, "the shine muscat panna cotta was the best," she said with a smile. "It was a valuable experience for me. All the flavors are memorable," said Mr. Kimura with a smile, too. Every bite brought a smile to the faces of the Kimura family.
